So, the ZAP brand has been around for a few years. And, they’ve had the ZAP Flashlight Stun Gun for quite a number of those years. They also introduced the Extreme Model about a year and a half ago. They’ve also got a new model, the Enforcer, out now, which is a professional grade model. But, for now I wanted to point out the basic two models.
The ZAP Flashlight Stun Gun (ZAPL) and the ZAP Flashlight Stun Gun EXTREME (ZAPLE or ZAPLTE) are both 1 million volt stun guns encased in a very nice flashlight. The flashlight is made of a high grade aircraft aluminum and has a nice “weighty” feel to it. You can tell its a very solid unit. And, the flashlight, is not over the top bright, compared to some of the ultra bright flashlights available today, but it is still a very good quality and bright flashlight. Add to this the 1 million volts of stun power, and you’ve got a nice weapon to protect yourself with at night. The units each generate about 3 milliamps of current, which, in the world of stun guns, is about average, and is effective.
The ZAP Flashlight Extreme Stun Gun adds pointed spikes on the end which can double as a physical weapon to pound or punch an attacker with. The Extreme model is also black, compared with the aluminum (silver) color of the base unit. Both are very good quality. And, yes, they’re made in China. However, the company, PS Products, is based in the US and the construction of the stun guns is up to the specs and design of the American Company.
