All too often, when people start shopping for a stun gun, they put forth some good effort on the front end, but don’t follow through with things on the back end. Here’s what I mean….
Oftentimes, people will search for a stun gun online, and let’s say they come to SmartStun.com. They may spend 30 minutes or even more comparing the various features and benefits of the different models found on the site. They compare the prices and maybe even do a little more research. They place the order and they receive their weapon in the mail.
And, they continue on. They open the package somewhat excited to see this new self defense weapon they’ve purchased. They’ll read the instructions and get it all charged up or put in fresh batteries. They’ll test fire it and be pretty impressed with what they’ve got. And, for a couple of weeks, they’ll carry it in their purse or pocket. But, after a while, the newness wears off.
Suddenly, one night when coming out of the mall and walking towards their car, they’re face to face with an attacker. They realize they got lazy and left their stun gun at home!
My point in all this? When shopping online, before clicking the “Buy Now” button for checking out, give some thought to how you’ll carry your stun gun. Maybe you need to order a holster. Or, maybe you should order a different model, one that is easy to carry and keep up with. I mean, what good is spending $50 or $60 on your self defense when you don’t follow through with carrying it?

I just went through SmartStun.com and got familiar with all the stun guns they have listed on their site. And, I have to say, there is quite a range of models and features and prices. For instance, I saw the Stun Master Lipstick Stun gun for only $29.95 and that included Shipping. And, the most expensive one I saw was the Yellow Jacket by ZAP. This is a smartphone cover that slips over an iPhone to add a stun gun and additional battery storage. I thought that was pretty cool. And, it was $134.95, which also included the same FREE Shipping.
Of course, there are TASER Guns and other weapons on the website that are more expensive. But, for stun guns, they seemed to have quite a range of handheld units, stun batons, even a stun cane. Seems like whatever you might be needing for your self defense, they most likely have and at pretty decent prices. I did look at a few websites and for the most part, the pricing was all comparable. But, throw in the Free Shipping like SmartStun.com does and it just seemed to have the best selection at the best prices.
Okay, this may seem quite elementary, but you’d be surprised of the stories I hear. Oftentimes, people commit and say, “Okay, I’m going to research and find a stun gun to buy for my protection.” And, they do just that. They research and shop and research some more. Finally, they find the perfect self defense weapon and buy it.
And, for a couple of weeks they do well, keeping it in their purse or in their car or where ever they originally intended to keep it. But, , when they actually need their stun gun, its not with them. Or, its not charged. Or, its in their purse, but there’s no time to reach for it when they’re face to face with an attacker.
My message is this: If you’re going to spend the time and money to find a suitable weapon to defend yourself with in the event of a mugging or rape or whatever, stay committed to it. Carry it. Charge it. Know where it is. Go across parking lots at night with it in your hand so you’re ready. Don’t take any unnecessary chances. Crime has gotten totally out of hand in many places across the country. Don’t become a statistic, or worse, a real victim!
