TASER M26C “Old Reliable”

Oftentimes, we hear people refer to the TASER M26C as “old reliable” as its been around for quite a while and its well known.  Taser hasn’t made any changes to it since it released it, and, really, why should they?

taser m26cThe TASER M26C is pretty straightforward, easy to use and conveys to anyone looking down the “wrong” end of the barrel what’s about to happen.  Once in your hand and loaded with a cartridge, a flip of the safety and the red laser is activated.  Point the laser at their chest and know that if you have to, you’re pretty much assured that you’ll hit the target and instantly deliver a stun that’ll drop someone to the ground.

TASER Guns don’t require a whole of voltage or amperage.  If you research stun guns, you’ll see that everyone is pushing how high the voltage and amperage is on their stun gun.  But, with TASER Guns, they work differently.  First, since the probes “shoot” outward and penetrate into the target, the need for high voltage is negated.  High voltage is needed by stun guns to penetrate to the skin and into the muscles.  But, since the probes physically do this, high voltage is unnecessary.  And, stun guns require a high amount of amperage to be delivered by the voltage in order to affect the target.  But, since TASER’s work by mimicking the body’s electrical frequency, ANY amperage, regardless of how low screws with the human body’s ability to function.  Its basically the same frequency that is generated by the brain.  When this electrical current is delivered into the body, the brain says I am receiving this electricity, but I don’t know what to do with it.  So, it just kinda freaks out the nervous system.

The M26C comes with 4 cartridges and only requires that the user supplies 8 AA batteries for it.  Most people buy 16 rechargeable ones and keep 8 on charge ready for switch out.  The only other thing you might want to consider buying is a holster to allow you to keep the gun with you when you need it.

Easy to use; Highly effective.  TASER M26C.

Reminder: TASER Flashlight

Just a reminder, here, that TASER will be releasing their very first Flashlight Taser this summer.  It will NOT shoot electrodes out, rather, it will be a direct contact flashlight stun gun.

This is the first weapon from TASER that will not shoot outward.  Of course, all other TASER guns shoot electrodes.  We’ve not been given any more specs at this time.  As soon as we have more info, we’ll most certainly release it here.

Coming Soon: Flashlight Stun Gun from TASER

You read that right!  Due out sometime this summer, 2013, TASER will be releasing their first Flashlight Stun Gun.  No specs have been released yet, and they’ve not even determined the price at which it will be sold.  But, its coming.

About the only information we know at this time is that it will be a direct contact stun gun.  It will not shoot electrodes out like all other TASER gun models do.  So, this is the first departure away from the true TASER technology.  Its going to be interesting to see if they go with a higher voltage and amperage stun gun than what they currently put out or if they’re going to keep the specs low and integrate in their neuro-muscular incapacitation (NMI) technology.

Stay tuned and know that you can get it just as soon as its available through SmartStun!

The PHAZZER Hornet

Phazzer HornetWe’ve been waiting for this stun gun for quite some time.  And, yes, we’ve been a little let down by it not being released when the manufacturer said it would be.  But, although I’ve not held one in my hands, I know its going to be worth the wait.  What’s more is that I do believe PHAZZER is very near to releasing it.

You see, the PHAZZER Hornet is not your ordinary stun gun.  The Hornet is, like the Dragon and Enforcer, a Projectile Shooting Stun Gun.  Like the TASER Brand of products, these self defense weapons actually shoot electrodes up to 15 feet outwards to an attacker, thus giving the user a safe distance within which to stay.  While other models of stun guns require the user to be within inches of an attacker and to “directly contact” an attacker with the weapon, the PHAZZER Hornet, Dragon and Enforcer all provide the safe distance aspect of weaponry.

Now, we do acknowledge that Phazzer has been working for a couple of years to bring this great product to market.  But, we do know that they have been actively testing the unit and making minor modifications so that it is safe AND effective.  It will prove to be worth the wait.  What’s even nicer, yet, is that its price point will be way below that of the Dragon and the TASER C2.  It looks like its going to hit the market somewhere near the $250 price point, which is roughly a hundred bucks less than the other two models.

Keep your eyes posted here as you can bet we’ll be telling all about it once its finally release.

Mom Uses TASER Gun Charged

That’s the headline and here’s the story about the Mom in Texas who is being charged for using a TASER Gun on her son.  She says its just a form of punishment.  Hell yeah, its punishment!

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) – A mother has been charged with injury to a child after Pflugerville police said she used a stun gun on her 14-year-old son as a form of punishment.

Police received the report from Child Protective Services after a teacher reached out to tell them about the suspected abuse.

According to the arrest warrant, a 4-year-old sibling of the teen told a teacher that the brother had been “Tased” four times — including once in the head — by his mother while the father held him down.

Police said while interviewing the teen, they noticed bruising and burning consistent with marks caused by stun guns. The injuries were to the teen’s arms and back.

The mother told police she had threatened her son with the stun gun because “he is a handful” and because “I don’t even know where my child is half the time.”

What such a loving mother this poor child has!  She’s blaming the child, but we can all surmise it all started with poor parenting.
